Welcome to our closet. This is the first time we have not had a walk-in closet (I know, we have been spoiled). But we really don't have enough room for our clothes in this one closet, soo...
We had to set up shelves in our bedroom. Our whole bedroom is more like a closet than a bedroom. Oh well!
Our bed. Forgive the bedspread, it is a brand new duvet so its still a bit wrinkly. We are so happy to have our pillowtop mattress back! It is so soft and wonderful!
Now on to the bathroom. Our bathroom doesn't have a ton of space on the countertop so we bought shelving, like Jess and Joey had in Rexburg. I like it a lot cuz all my stuff is right there. And it is all my stuff...Todd is a simple man, he doesn't take up as much room as I do!
Our office area. We have a lot of office stuff from the Eclipse years, which is nice, otherwise we probably wouldn't have all that shelving and the paper shredder. The bottom shelf is my scrapbooking stuff.
The dining area. Those paper lanterns are from our reception! We just bought a little Walmart table and chairs, which is the perfect size for us.
Our kitchen. Sorry the picture is sideways. We actually have quite a lot of shelving, and a huge pantry. The one advantage of our apartment is that we have more inside closets to keep coats, food, and other extra stuff.
So there it is! We still have some boxes lying around, and we think there is some storage underneath the apartments. We hear they flood though, so we will probably just put some of our plastic storage bins down there. We have no dishwasher, so we are doing them by hand, which is good practice for me! We do our laundry once a week at the building next door to ours. We are sad about giving up a washer and dryer in our own apartment, but it hasn't been too inconvenient (just expensive!) All in all, we like our apartment, and will hopefully be able to stay here for a few years. We hear from Todd's law friends that we actually have it pretty good, our rent is really low, our apartment is much nicer and the area seems to be much safer than where many of the students are living. Plus, we don't have kids, so we don't have to pay more for more space and get a house (with all of the maintenance to keep as well). We really feel we have been blessed in finding our housing.
Hope you guys are doing well!
